7th September, Hong Kong: Hong Kong Tenpin Bowling Congress launches Target 24th Asian Tenpin Bowling Championships to introduce the Target Insurance Company Limited as title sponsor, official sponsors and partners and members of Team Hong Kong at a press conference on Wednesday.
The press conference held at Regal Ballroom, Regal Hongkong Hotel was attended by Mr Jim W.L. Muk, Executive Director & CHeif Executive Officer of Title Sponsor, Target Insurance Company Limited and Ms Renee Hung, Organizing Chairman of the Target-HKTBC-TWGHs Charity Bowling Tournament and Director of Tung Wah Group of Hospital.
Also present were Mr Newman Tsang Yiu Man, Director of Hong Kong Sports Institute Limited, Mt Yeung Tak Keung, JP, Commissioner for Sports of Home Affairs Bureau and Mr Tong Wai Lum, BBS, JP, Vice-President of Sports Federation and Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China.
Representatives of Title Sponsor, official sponsors, official partners, official media partners, official hotels, committee members and members of the press medai were also present. The conference kicked off with the introduction of the distinguished guests before the introductory speech by Ms Viven Lau, BBS, JP, Chairman of Hong Kong Tenpin Bowling Congress and Secretary General of World Bowling.
Her speech was followed by speeches from Mr Tong Wai Lum, Mr Yeung Tak Keung, Mr Newman Tsang Yiu Man, Mr Jim W.L. Muk and Ms Renee Hung. The emcee then introduced members of the Hong Kong team comprising of team manager, Mr Frankie Cheung, Head Coach, Mr Bill Hoffman, Coach, Mr Mike Seymour and Technical Coach, Mr Del Ballard.
The men's team comprises of Rickle Kam, Lau Kwun Ho, Michael Mak, Eric Tseng, Wu Siu Hong and Wicky Yeung while the women's team comprises of Chan Shuk Han, Joan Cheng, Chloe Lee, Milki Ng, Zoe Tam and Joey Yip.
After the introduction, members of the press medai were invited for questions and answers session. Group photography session followed thereafter with the distinguished guests. At the end of the press conference, HKTBC hosted a lunch reception.
The Target 24th Asian Tenpin Bowling Championships which will be held at South China Athletic Association Bowling Centre from 18 to 28 September, 2016. This edition will see 136 men, 65 women and 79 officials from 24 member countries of Asian Bowling Federation.
